PREPARE! LADY DEATH: UNHOLY RUIN #1 IS COMING!!!
Brand-new Kickstarter campaign launches on August 23, 2017
SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA (July 18, 2017) – Coffin Comics announced a brand-new Kickstarter campaign for the next chapter of Lady Death, an original graphic novel entitled Lady Death: Unholy Ruin #1.
Unholy Ruin #1 will be a 48-page full color square-bound graphic novel that continues the ongoing story established by Coffin’s five previous Lady Death titles: Chaos Rules, Damnation Game, Extinction Express, Oblivion Kiss and Merciless Onslaught. Lady Death creator Brian Pulido and co-writer Mike MacLean (Lady Death, La Muerta) will return as writers. Series artist Dheeraj Verma (Lady Death, Transformers) will return for pencils, with Ceci de la Cruz (La Muerta) coming on board as the new colorist.
In this chapter, News that her beloved mother Marion is being held captive leads Lady Death straight into Gore Galore: a horrific, twisted reality show televised throughout Hell that pits the Diva of Death against hordes of cannibal serial killers, supernatural slashers and even former allies. It’s a suicide trap masterminded by the Hellbourne Elders to wipe Lady Death off the face of Hell! Can Lady Death prevail and be reunited with her mother?
Meanwhile, Hellwitch and her Hellbourne army descend to exact revenge! Featuring the return of a beloved character, the introduction of mystic Mr. Atticus Marrow and the reintroduction of War Angel!

A wide assortment of reward tiers containing limited edition books, prints and collectible trading cards will be available to backers on the Unholy Ruin #1 Kickstarter campaign. An all-star lineup of cover artists will be joining the project, including: Eric Basaldua (“Ebas”), Jenevieve Broomall, Elias Chatzoudis, Ceci de la Cruz, David Harrigan, Mike Krome, Dawn McTeigue, Ula Mos, Richard Ortiz, Paolo Pantalena, Sabine Rich, Jesse Wichmann, plus special guest artists to be announced!
The Lady Death: Unholy Ruin #1 Kickstarter campaign will launch on August 23, 2017 at 7:00PM MST/PDT (Arizona Time) and will end on September 22, 2017 at 7:00PM MST/PDT (Arizona Time). Kickstarter backers will be the first to read the new story, months before it’s released to the general comics market!

- Kickstarter has already begun the process of billing cards for your pledges. If for whatever reason your card doesn’t go through, Kickstarter will send you an email instructing you how to update your billing information.
- After a two-week administrative period, we will be sending out email invitations containing links to your backer surveys via BackerKit. We will keep everyone updated as we draw closer to survey time.
In the meantime, just hang tight, everyone! You’ll be happy to know that we have already gone to press on Vengeance so that we can be ready to ship everyone’s rewards packages in September!
